Trend’s Fauna Spotter Catchers are experienced and appropriately permitted through the Department of Environment, Science and Innovation to capture and release wildlife impacted by vegetation clearing. Our team are adept at assessing wildlife for injuries the require veterinary care or providing emergency euthanasia if required.

As most of our fauna spotters are also qualified ecologists, they have extensive experience identifying wildlife and significant habitat features that could contain wildlife, while also ensuring you comply with the conditions of your clearing permit. All our fauna spotters are experienced working around heavy machinery and ensuring safe communication with operators.

We have fauna spotters that are trained snake handlers, have appropriate qualifications to attend mine sites including their coal board medical and Mining Induction – Standard 11, and their working at height permits which can be required on some sites, particularly where threatened gliders and birds may be present, requiring hollow checks prior to clearing.
